Sleep Shift (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates getsleepshift.com and sells digital planning products for parents. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our site or make a purchase, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.

We take privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for any purpose beyond what is described here.

1. Who we are

Sleep Shift is operated by an individual seller based in Canada. Our website is getsleepshift.com. For privacy inquiries, contact us at hello@getsleepshift.com.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide directly. When you purchase through our checkout (powered by Lemon Squeezy), you provide your email address and payment details. We receive your email address. We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and their payment processors.

Information collected automatically. If you have consented to analytics cookies, we may collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on page, referral source, device type, browser, and approximate geographic location (country/region level). This data is anonymous and aggregated. We do not collect precise location data.

Information from ad platforms. If you have consented to advertising cookies, Meta and/or Google may place pixels on our site that collect data about your visit to help us measure ad performance and show you relevant ads on those platforms. This is governed by Meta’s and Google’s own privacy policies in addition to ours.

3. How we use your information

• Order fulfillment. Your email address is used to deliver your digital download link via Lemon Squeezy immediately after purchase.
• Customer support. If you contact us about your order, we use your email to respond.
• Occasional product updates. With your consent (implied by purchase under CASL, or explicit opt-in where required), we may send you emails about new products or updates relevant to Sleep Shift. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not send promotional emails to people who have not purchased or opted in.
• Legal and tax compliance. Purchase records may be retained for accounting and tax purposes as required by Canadian law.
• Ad measurement. If you have consented, pixel data helps us understand which ads led to purchases so we can allocate our advertising budget responsibly. This data is shared with Meta and/or Google in accordance with your consent choices.

4. Legal basis for processing (for EEA and UK residents)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — to fulfill your purchase and deliver your download.
• Legitimate interests — for basic customer support and purchase record keeping.
• Consent — for analytics cookies, advertising pixels, and marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

5. Who we share your information with

Lemon Squeezy. Our payment and digital delivery platform. They process your payment, send your download link, and store your purchase record. Their privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record for your purchase, which means they handle sales tax and VAT compliance on our behalf.

Google. If you have consented to analytics or advertising cookies, Google Analytics and/or Google Ads may receive anonymized data about your visit. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

Meta. If you have consented to advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel may receive data about your visit. Governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties. We do not sell your data.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our site uses a minimal set of cookies:

• Functional cookies — strictly necessary for the site to work (e.g., remembering your cookie consent choice). These do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies — only placed if you accept via our cookie consent banner. Used for understanding how the site is used.
• Advertising cookies — only placed if you accept. Used by Meta and Google for ad measurement and retargeting.

You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage or cookies, or by using your browser’s privacy settings.

7. Data retention

Purchase records (email + order details) are retained for seven years as required by Canadian tax regulations. If you request deletion of your email from our marketing list, we will remove you promptly and retain only the minimum purchase record required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to correction of inaccurate information.
• The right to deletion (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal retention requirements.
• The right to withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
• The right to data portability (EEA/UK residents).
• The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EEA/UK residents).
• Rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including access and correction.

9. CASL compliance (Canadian residents)

We comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). If you are a Canadian resident, any commercial electronic message we send you will include a clear identification of Sleep Shift, a working unsubscribe mechanism, and will only be sent on the basis of express or implied consent as defined under CASL. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

10. Children’s privacy

Our products are intended for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International transfers

Sleep Shift operates from Canada. Our payment and delivery processor (Lemon Squeezy) operates from the United States. If you are in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to countries that do not have equivalent data protection laws. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) apply per Lemon Squeezy’s data processing terms.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. We will not materially reduce your privacy rights without notice.
